SPECIAL NOTES: Code P2106 is an informational code, and in many, if not most cases, this code’s only function is to alert a driver that the PCM has initiated a fail-safe mode due a malfunction or failure in a system that is very often not directly related to the Throttle Control Actuator in any way. It is an indication that limp mode/failsafe mode has been activated. It is not manufacturer-specific, so it has the same meaning for your Ford F350 as it would any other vehicle. The P2106 indicates the FMEM action is in effect due to a concern in an Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) related component or module. P2106 is a somewhat uncommon OBD-II code. A Permanent DTC can only then be cleared by the module strategy and cannot be erased by clearing DTCs with a scan tool, a Keep-Alive Memory (KAM) reset, or battery disconnect. SSM # 17740 22003-2004 Linc LS & Thunderbird - Electronic Throttle Control Warning Message or Lamp On MIL On with DTC - P2106 - Possible Driveabilty Systems. The P2106 code is set when the TAC system is in the Failure Mode Effects Management (FMEM) mode of forced limited power. Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using WDS release. Replace the throttle position sensor (TPS) following the instruction sheet included in the TPS service kit.

"04 Bird, I just ran Oasis and only came up with one SSM that covered both the Check Engine Light & ABS Light.
